Timeline of Key Events 1979-2013

• 1979

  Company founded by Chris Cooper and Ken Jackson

• 1980 - 1990

  Several moves due to an expansion in customer base and the need for additional shearing capacity

• 1991

  Premises at Shaw Road, Dudley puchased

• 1993

  Slitting line purchased

• 1995

  Ken Jackson retires

• 1998

  Pedmore Road site purchased, along with 1850mm wide slitting line. In addition a new management team is introduced; Roger Tunnicliffe as Commercial Director and Paul Ward as Company Secretary

• 1999 - 2007

  Several investments in processing capability including a "double looper" and the introduction of offline slitting head and separator set-up

• 2008

  Kevin Edwards, having joined in 1999, is promoted to Operations Manager

• 2010

  Design and Installation of Multi-strand Blanking Line Begins.

• 2012

  Roger Tunnicliffe retires as Commercial Director

• 2013

  Simon Edwards promoted to Commercial Director

• 2013

  ProfIT - Metals industry software installed to drive efficiency and stock management.

• 2014

  Processing of Aluminium begins

• 2014

  35 year Anniversary

• 2016

  BDO features Cooper and Jackson in their growth barometer as one of the fastest growing companies in the West Midlands.

• 2017

  Kevin Edwards appointed Operations Director
